Users create accounts, pay for generation credits, and store their projects in the cloud.

1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- Email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them)
- Display name and profile picture, if you add them or sign in with Google
- Contact preferences, such as whether you opted in to product emails
- Messages you send us through the contact form
Content you provide. Screenplays, reference photos (which may show real people), prompts and edits you make, and everything generated for you from them. This is stored in your account so you can return to your projects.
Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser type and request logs are recorded by our hosting provider to operate and secure the service. We keep a record of your credit purchases and of each AI operation you run, so your balance and history are correct. We also store the country you signed up from and the country you last used SPACEODD from, worked out by our hosting provider from your connection, so we can see where our users are. We store only the country, never your IP address, city or precise location, and it is deleted with your account. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you, and when you sign up we save the link or campaign that first brought you to SPACEODD (for example a utm tag or the referring website). We do not use advertising trackers or cookies.
Sensitive Information. We do not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
Payment Data. We never receive or store your card number or security code. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles and stores all payment data; we receive only the purchase amount, date, status, a payment reference and the country of your billing address, which we store with your account. Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details (like your Google account). If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider, as described in the section "How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?" below.
Google API
Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
SPACEODD is not for children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create an account. If we learn we have collected information from someone younger, we will delete it.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To create and manage your account, including signing you in and keeping your projects.
- To provide the Services you ask for: analysing your screenplay and generating storyboards, documents and images with our AI providers.
- To process payments and keep your credit balance accurate, including refunds.
- To respond to you when you contact us for support.
- To send product emails, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse (for example repeated sign-ups to claim free credits), and enforce our Terms.
- To understand what brings people to SPACEODD, from anonymous page-view counts and the referral link saved on your account at sign-up.
- To comply with law, including tax and accounting record-keeping.
3. What Legal Bases Do We Rely On to Process Your Information?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.

The GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. We may rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a Contract. We process your account, content and payment information to provide the Services you signed up for.
- Legitimate Interests. We process limited information to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems, where those interests are not outweighed by your rights.
- Consent. We send product emails only with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal Obligations. We keep purchase records where tax and accounting law requires it, and respond to lawful requests.
- Vital Interests. We may process your information where necessary to protect your vital interests or those of a third party.

- Legal Requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or SPACEODD.
- Project Sharing. If you share a project with another SPACEODD user, they can see that project and your email address.
International Transfers
Our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. Where personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Do We Offer Artificial Intelligence-Based Products?
In Short: We offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies.
As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). These tools are designed to enhance your experience and provide you with innovative solutions.
Use of AI Technologies
We provide the AI Products through third-party service providers ("AI Service Providers"): Anthropic, Google, Black Forest Labs and, when enabled, fal.ai. Your inputs and outputs are shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to produce the results you request. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.
Our AI Products are designed for the following functions:
- Image generation (storyboards, moodboards, portraits, posters)
- Image analysis (checking a generated frame against your staging)
- Text analysis and document generation (screenplay breakdown, treatment, pitch deck)
How We Process Your Data Using AI
We send your content to these providers only to produce the result you asked for. SPACEODD does not train AI models, and we do not sell or license your content to anyone for training. Each provider handles the data under its own commercial API terms.
6. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?
In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Google login). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, and profile picture.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information.
7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We keep your account information and projects for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, projects, uploaded reference photos and generated images. We keep records of your purchases (amount, date and payment reference, no longer linked to your name or email) for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to seven years. Our hosting provider keeps request logs for a short period. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire on their regular schedule.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can log in to your account settings and update your user account.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

10. Cookies, Browser Storage and Do-Not-Track
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies; our page analytics are cookieless. Your browser stores your sign-in session and a few preferences (such as light or dark mode and the last page you had open) in local storage so the app works, along with the campaign link you first arrived from; clearing your browser data removes them.
Do-Not-Track
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
11. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
